Congratulations to our 7th grade basketball team for going 3-0 in our tournament today and taking 1st place! 🥇 Way to go, Jaguars!
Classes are cancelled on Friday, January 23rd due to the dangerously cold weather predicted for our region. Please stay safe out there!
All school activities scheduled for Friday are also cancelled.
Our school is teaming up with Humility Homes and Services, Inc. to support their mission of providing housing and hope to our neighbors. We are hosting a supplies drive to stock their shelter with essentials, and we need your help to fill the bins!
Items We’re Collecting:
Personal Care: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, toothbrushes, and toothpaste.
Home Essentials: Toilet paper, paper towels, and laundry detergent/dryer sheets.
Cleaning Supplies: Scrub brushes, multi-purpose cleaners, and sponges.
Comfort Items: New socks, coffee, and creamer.
Every donation—no matter how small—makes a direct impact on someone’s journey toward stable housing.

Winter aesthetics meet art history! ☃️🎨 Our students are showing off their seasonal projects, inspired by the various artists and styles they’ve been studying with Mrs. Dodson.
It’s amazing to see how they apply classic techniques to their own snowy creations! ❄️🖌️
Friday afternoon, Jordan 4th-graders visited Bald Eagle Days! They learned about 4 types of raptors and were able to touch a hedgehog, an armadillo, a snake, a tarantula, and so many others! Oh my!

The 5th grade spent the first week of the new year focusing on goal setting, resetting expectations, and strengthening social-emotional skills. Students have been reflecting on personal and academic goals while re-establishing classroom routines and expectations to set themselves up for success in 2026.
We have also begun implementing our new Kagan training strategies alongside our SEL curriculum, which emphasize collaboration and relationship-building. Through buddy activities, pair-shares, and structured discussions, students are learning how to communicate effectively, support one another, and build stronger connections within our classroom community.
We are proud of the positive start to the year and look forward to continued growth both academically and socially, as we move forward together. 💙💛

During this morning's Early Act Club meeting, Dr. Phillis and Mr. Swanson from the Rotary Club shared an engaging presentation about LifeStraw, a water-filtration system that provides safe drinking water to thousands of children attending schools throughout Kenya. They even brought in a working filter, giving students the opportunity to see firsthand how dirty water can be cleaned and made safe to drink using this device.
