Congratulations to our Jordan Jaguars, Claire, Alice, Wyatt, and Maddie, for competing in the Knights of Columbus Illinois State Council Free Throw Championship. Each of them had to make it through three levels of competition to make it this far. We are so proud of your hard work and dedication!

Students were able to sit in the planetarium and observe how it works. Students then went to the geology museum. They were able to discover different types of rocks, minerals and fossils and learn about local discoveries. They completed a sample rock test and discovered how they encounter rocks in their life everyday!
We are looking for local legends to sponsor a round or a table for just $25! It’s a fantastic way to support our students’ academic and extra-curricular journeys while getting your brand in front of the community.

Tonight, the Church gathers for the Easter Vigil in the Holy Night, which the @USCCB describes as the "mother of all holy vigils." We move from the darkness of the tomb into the radiant light of the Resurrection.
The liturgy unfolds in four powerful parts:
The Service of Light: The blessing of the new fire and the lighting of the Paschal Candle—Christ, our Light!
The Liturgy of the Word: A journey through salvation history, from Creation to the Resurrection.
Christian Initiation: Welcoming new members into the Church through Baptism and Confirmation.
The Liturgy of the Eucharist: Our first joyful celebration of the Risen Lord at the altar.
The "Alleluia" returns! After the silence of Lent, we proclaim with one voice: Christ is Risen, Truly He is Risen!
Today, we observe Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion, a day of solemn prayer, fasting, and abstinence as we contemplate the depth of God's love.
We focus on three powerful moments:
The Liturgy of the Word: Proclaiming the Passion according to the Gospel of John.
The Adoration of the Holy Cross: Drawing near to the wood of the Cross on which hung the Savior of the world.
Holy Communion: Receiving the Eucharist consecrated from the night before, as no Mass is celebrated today.
We stand at the foot of the Cross, not in despair, but in awe of the sacrifice that won our salvation.
