Recess was amazing today with all the sunshine! ☀️ We played a new game called "Sharks & Killer Whales," invented by our very own 5th grader, Greyson! 🦈
It was so much fun and a perfect way to enjoy the beautiful weather. Thanks for the awesome idea, Greyson! 🙌

7th Grade Students in Mr. B's social studies class raced to the finish to see who could identify the most national monuments and physical geography. They gained points for each answer they got correctly with as few clues as possible. In the end, the top score was 45 points out of a possible 48!

The 6th graders in Mr. Baresel's social studies classroom are learning major social studies concepts and today they learned about market vs. command economies. Given the same number of poker chips, students competed in free market competition to see who could get the most chips. They played rock, paper, scissors to determine their success in the market system. One student was named "Captain Capitalism" and got to wear the top hat of victory for getting the most chips. However, when a command economy revolution changed the system students began to give away their chips. This showed the differences in competition in the tow systems.

Our 4th graders got creative in science class today! 🔬 They used Jell-O, candy, and even Twinkies to make edible cells. It was a fun and delicious way to learn about all the different parts of a cell.
