The 7th grade reenacted the Boston Massacre through a short play in Mr. Baresel's Social Studies class. The colonists fell to the ground and the spark of liberty was ignited!

On this All Souls Day, we remember our loved ones who have gone before us. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen

Happy All Saints' Day!

Almighty ever-living God, by whose gift we venerate in one celebration the merits of all the Saints, bestow on us, we pray, through the prayers of so many intercessors, an abundance of the reconciliation with you for which we earnestly long. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

Mr. Baresel's 6th Grade Social Studies class dove deep into ancient Egyptian culture by recreating the mummification process! Students paired up & used materials like toilet paper to carefully wrap their classmates, gaining an incredible hands-on understanding of this historical practice. The class got wrapped up in the history of Egypt!

🎃 The Daughters of the King kicked off Halloween morning with the Jack-O-Lantern Parable — He can take us, carve out all of the yucky goop (like our mistakes, failures, and sins), put the light of Christ inside of us, and help us shine for all to see — a great reminder of the beautiful promises we have in Jesus! 👑✨

Mr. B keeps his students busy! His 6th-grade social studies class learned & presented about the great, lasting achievements of Ancient Mesopotamia. These achievements included the 60-minute hour, the first recorded laws (the Code of Hammurabi), the sailboat, the first writing system (cuneiform) and the religious ideas of Mesopotamia, including the start of monotheism (belief in one, true God). 💙💛

The 6th-grade students in Mr. B's social studies class learned about the first system of writing-cuneiform-by creating their own cuneiform tablets using the wedge shaped writing of the Ancient Mesopotamians. The 6th graders all agreed that while it was fun to write in clay they will no longer complain about paper and pencil. 📝
