Labor Day Parade Lead Needed!
Help Bring the Jordan Catholic spirit to life in this year’s Labor Day Parade!
This year’s Rock Island Labor Day Parade is just around the corner, and we’re looking for someone to take the lead and help our school show up in a big way!
The theme for this year is “Rockin’ the Arts”—a celebration of creativity, talent, and expression.
This is the perfect opportunity to represent our school with a float or walking group that shines with color, school pride, and artistic flair.
We Need a Parade Lead Who Can:
•Coordinate Jordan Catholic’s parade entry
•Brainstorm and execute a theme (simple or artsy—we’re flexible!)
•Organize supplies and decorations
•Rally volunteers to help with setup and day-of support
•Help us submit the entry form by August 18
Parade Details:
•📍 Where: Parade starts at Washington Jr. High (33rd St. & 18th Ave)
•🗓 When: Monday, September 1, 2025
•⏰ Line-up at 8:30 AM / Parade starts at 9:30 AM
•🛻 Route: 2 miles (ends at Rock Island High School)
Why This Matters:
This is one of the biggest community events of the year, and it’s an incredible way to:
•Celebrate Catholic education
•Promote school spirit
•Engage families and staff in something joyful and visible
•Have fun! (Really—parade mornings are a blast.)
Urgency Check:
The entry deadline is August 18, so we’re looking for someone who can jump in quickly and help us get organized.
You won’t be alone—we’ll provide support, volunteers, and guidance. But we need a point person to bring it all together.
