Our 5th graders have officially finished their very first novel of the year, The Unteachables by Gordon Korman! As a reward for their hard work & dedication, each student received a Reading Certificate & enjoyed a delicious slice of cake from Portillo’s. 🍰

🗺️ Students in Mr. Baresel's 6th grade Social Studies class created their own countries with maps to learn about directions, map scales, map keys and types of governments. Some of the ideas were pretty creative. 😲

Tomorrow is the big night—our Basket Raffle & Kids Carnival is here! We can’t wait to welcome you for an evening of Fun, Faith, Fiesta, and Family. 🎟 Event Details & Check-In Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Games will run until we start drawing basket winners at 8:00 p.m. If you reserved a table, pre-ordered food, or purchased tickets in advance, everything will be ready for you at the Check-In Table in your envelope.

Jordan Catholic School's entire 8th-grade class passed their U.S. and Illinois Constitution Tests last week! 💥
On Friday, September 26, Mrs. McLaughlin and Mr. Baresel presented the students with their Certificates of Completion. We're so proud of these students, who are now prepared to be informed citizens and voters who will help shape the future of our nation and state. Great job, 8th grade! #WeThePeople 🗽

Kindergarten is learning about making "New Friends" this week. Look what "New Friend" decided to join our class this morning. We will be releasing Mr. Butterfly on Friday during Blessing of the Animals!

Mr. B's 7th-grade social studies class got a hands-on taste of colonial life! Students became shipbuilders for a day, creating waterproof boats from aluminum foil, tape, straws, and index cards. They then tested their designs to see how many rocks and washers they could carry. It was a great way to learn about colonial history and engineering! 🚢 #SocialStudies #HandsOnHistory #ColonialLife

Our 3rd graders in Mrs. Shrake's class are becoming text feature experts! 🕵️‍♀️ They went on a "text feature hunt," using their "special" reading glasses to explore Scholastic News magazines. The students learned to identify important elements like headings, captions, and bolded words to help them better understand non-fiction texts. It was a great way to make reading interactive and fun! 👓

4Z celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day with an apple tasting. Their favorite apple was the Honey Crisp! 🍎

Jordan families, your children have been making beautiful artwork this year! 🎨
To help with this program, we are raffling a special art piece by former Jordan student Kate Walsh. This beautiful work of art is on display in the front office.
Art Raffle tickets are $1 each and are available in the office.
All proceeds from this raffle go to our Art Department! Winner will be drawn Oct 15.
