Happy Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord!
Merry Christmas!
Our hearts are on fire today with love of You, o Lord. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, we pray for the strength and courage to share the love that we feel today, tomorrow and each day, with those who need it most, helping to build Your kingdom here on earth. Amen.
In their Digital Media classes, our 8th-grade students channeled the magic of Christmas Eve into incredible digital art. After a tough competition, the class voted on their favorite image to feature in a social media spotlight. Congratulations to the winner— Emma P!💻🎁
We wish you all a night filled with peace, love, and the enduring wonder of Jesus' birth. May your hearts be light! 🙏

The 7th grade students in Mr Baresel's social studies class experienced what it was like to build a musket in the American Revolution. Using balloons and cardboard they created confetti muskets and tested to see if they would work.

The 6th-grade students traveled to the Putnam Museum to learn about Ancient Egypt. They saw 2,000 year old mummies, heard from historical reenactors and one student even became a mummy himself! Then they explored the different science and physics exhibits to learn more about the Egyptian scientific tradition.
Kindergarten Snow Play Days are the best days!! After all their snow fun, they warmed up with hot chocolate. ☃️
Petra was an amazing principal for the day at Jordan! She kept Mrs. McLaughlin on schedule with a busy agenda filled with classroom observations, department check ins and unexpected tasks throughout the day. Ms. P felt that all the students were demonstrating on task behavior so they will be rewarded with donut holes in the near future. Thank you Petra for your assistance today!
Mrs. Dodson pulled her usual tricks and tried to get some gift cards, a kiln to fire her ceramics, a candy machine and of course, a raise. Ms. P felt that a high five would satisfy her laundry list and Mrs. Dodson walked away ‘happy’.
She will have to follow up on Mrs. Dodson’s report of custodial staff complaints regarding “glitter everywhere” when cleaning her hallway. A debrief is scheduled for a later date.

Today is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary!
Father, the image of the Virgin is found in your Church. Mary had a faith that your Spirit prepared and a love that never knew sin, for you kept her sinless from the first moment of her conception. Trace in our actions the lines of her love, in our hearts her readiness of faith. Prepare once again a world for your Son who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen!
