The leaves of Autumn

Winter is coming, but Autumn comes first

I already see leaves falling, as the day goes

The leaves are green, fading into yellow

Fading into orange, fading into red

And now they fall.

As they fall, they flow and dance through the air.

They flow in the winds as if they are fluttering

through the sky with their wings, they dance as

If they are performing their last show.

When each leaf has done its part, they visit the

Ground. When they meet the ground, they meet torture.

With people stepping all over them, people racking and

Scratching them together, and ripping them apart to

Pieces.

The cycle continues, Autumn ends. Winter comes

with its aura of joy and glory.

Chocolate Too Good

In lands where rivers flow,

Where sunbeams dance and light breeze blow,

Over there the cacao grows, rich and fine,

A gift blessed, with love divine,

With healthy roots in ancient earth,

It holds the promise of a very sweet birth,

From bitter pods, a magic born,

A voice of joy, from night to morn.

Heroes once traveled “across the seas”,

To share this gift with the world delight,

A simple thing, a crafted dream,

A molten river, a creamy fondue stream.

In every bite, a story we find,

In love and loss, of ties that bind,

Oh chocolate dark, or milk so sweet,

In every heart, your pulse, your beat,

Now let us raise a cup so true,

To chocolate’s charm, forever new,

An epic flavor in every taste,

A worldwide bond, no time to waste
